Tiny Paws Big Steps is a 3D animation that portrays the challenges of early adulthood through the lives of three animal characters. Set in a playful yet emotionally grounded world, the story presents relatable moments of growth, burning food in the kitchen, getting stuck in traffic, and managing a healthy life through humorous and heartfelt scenes. The characters embody shared experiences of young adults stepping into independence for the first time. As a young adult myself, I've encountered many unfamiliar situations that pushed me to grow: traveling with friends, driving long distances alone, and learning how to manage tasks like cooking and taxes. I was often scared at first, but these moments became defining parts of my journey. Through this animation, I wanted to express the emotional ups and downs of those experiences and reflect on what it means to try, fail, and grow. The characters are extensions of my emotions and reactions during these years of growth. All modeling and animation were created using Blender, with editing completed in After Effects and Premiere Pro. Using cute, round-shaped animal characters paired with stylized environments supports a visually comforting aesthetic that encourages empathy and connection while acknowledging the difficulty of personal growth.
