sticker fever is a collaborative artwork which invites the audience to connect with their inner child by decorating the canvas with various stickers. Inspired by “paint by number” colouring pages and activity books, this work is born as pixels on a screen and gradually brought to life as viewers interact with the canvas. I hope the tactile experience of stickering offers comfort and brings back happy memories. The interactive medium of the work consists of over three years of original sticker designs with colourful characters and cheerful motifs. Classic 2000s moe anime style painting is combined with these physical stickers to create a sense of whimsical nostalgia and remind the viewer of their childhood. sticker fever celebrates the art and sentimentality of stickers.
