The Search

Marcia Sotil

Artist Statement

As a Peruvian artist, I find myself on a journey of recognizing the elements of my culture that give me a sense of belonging and gravity against the void, rescuing me from the riotous pace of modern life. That is how Serena Ecolodge arises, as a 3D world that celebrates the beauty of its landscapes and the mysticism of the Sacred Valley in Urubamba, Cusco. "The Search" is a 3D experience that transmutes from Serena Ecolodge and evokes elements of the Ancestral Ayahuasca rite that guides into the spiritual search for inner growth.     The work seeks to hack our modern connections and reconnect to ancestral wisdom to remember the feeling of humility in front of nature and its healing powers. It is a divine rite to enjoy the Here and Now to keep ourselves inspired and tuned in at the highest vibrations with all existence.   “The constant evolution as well as progress, without spiritual advancement, is nothing more than a  Möbius strip that leads nowhere, perhaps…”                                   Hsin-Chien Huan
