Artist Statement

As a digital artist who explores storytelling influenced by life experiences. Comfort lies within the knowledge of someone who can express the process of surpassing similar hardships of life. At one moment in our lives, we experience the loss of passion for what once was loved. The constant fear of not knowing what to do next while standing still with time flying by. It soon became the reality of living with the loss of happiness that once resided in something that was so cared for and desired to continue. After a long time, it was difficult to understand why this feeling developed and the desire to go back in time.Spark, is a game that touches on the feeling of fear of losing your passion. Such as how Pablo Picasso had said, “Every child is an artist. The problem is how to remain an artist once we grow up.” Within this game, it would consist of a small character who has the journey of traveling through a forest during sundown. The player continues through different paths in hopes of finding their sparkling star before dark. This is a representation of how you could lose your spark and only time can tell when you will be able to obtain what sense of happiness again.
