"Ídolos de la Música Mexicana" (Idols of Mexican Music) is a series of 2D-animated illustrations that are dedicated to famous Mexican musicians who have passed away but still left their mark on Mexican culture. The songs that these late artists have performed continue to influence modern Mexican and Latin-American music.Growing up in a Mexican household, I would always hear the music of these artists. As a musician myself, I’ve come to deeply appreciate the songs these artists have created and how they positively impacted the lives of many people. Using Adobe Illustrator and After Effects, I designed these animated illustrations as a way to display their impactful legacy.
