Artist Statement

NAOMI VISION immerses users in a hyper-stylized AR shopping experience, where they’re drawn into a cyber-sci-fi world filled with overstimulating sale signs, futuristic sunglasses, and other accessories. As users collect items and head to a virtual checkout, they find that, in this world, they’ll never truly own what they desire. This endless, unfulfilled transaction mirrors the empty promises of consumerism, challenging viewers to rethink their relationship with material things. Through NAOMI VISION, I invite audiences to confront the allure of excess and consider that, perhaps, the most sustainable choice is to consume less.
