Untold Sun

Artist Statement

Untold Sun is a 3D game exploring the dystopian future of technology and what constitutes “life”. It serves to incorporate elements of 2D and 3D into a 3D model which viewers can watch and ponder what is “life” with a future engrossed in technology.

The exploration of humans and technology has become central to my artwork. Large-scale environments of what could be has endless possibilities as we move forward toward the future. Looking at and exploring this concept will make you think about the different avenues of what it can look like in the future as technology advances.

As art offers a myriad of possibilities for expression and conceptualization of possibilities of the future, I’ve always been fascinated by the styles and animated films that portray this concept in TV shows, movies, and more. How people grow, evolve, and interact with technology continues to be a topic of interest as it continues to rapidly evolve in this current age.

My bodies of work bring the concept of a futuristic dystopian future centered around propaganda, war, and technology. Untold Sun aims to be an immersive series of works that melds concepts into reality through implementing my practices to create a world dedicated to series and artists who’ve also explored this concept through art.
